Coaching with Henny Flynn
FAQs & our coaching agreement
By choosing to work together, we’re entering into a shared agreement. These FAQs outline how we’ll work, what you can expect from me, and what I’ll ask of you in return.
Please take a moment to read through them, and let me know if you have any questions before we begin.
This same agreement remains in place if you decide to continue with further individual sessions. We’ll discuss the shape of any ongoing support together, so it meets you well at each stage.
What happens in our coaching sessions?
Before we begin, we’ll agree the areas you’d like to explore, so you arrive ready to speak openly, reflect honestly, and take the steps that feel right for you.
My role is to create a calm, confidential and attentive space where you can speak freely. I’ll listen deeply, ask thoughtful questions, and bring my experience to support and gently challenge you — helping you explore new perspectives and identify clear ways forward.
Coaching is not about being fixed or advised. It’s a collaborative process of enquiry, reflection and choice. It is not a substitute for therapy or medical support. If, at any point, additional support would be helpful, we can talk that through together.
Where does the coaching take place?
Coaching sessions are usually held online, via Zoom. If another platform works better for you — such as Teams, Google Meet or WhatsApp — we can agree that together.
Sessions may also take place in person, where this has been agreed in advance.
Confidentiality
Confidentiality and trust are central to our work together.
Everything we discuss in coaching is confidential, with one very rare exception:
If I believe there is a serious risk of harm to you or to another person, I have a duty of care to act responsibly. In such circumstances, we would discuss the next steps together, which may include involving additional professional support.
How many sessions will I have?
Most clients begin with an initial plan of seven sessions, allowing time for trust to build and for meaningful work to unfold. We’ll review how things feel as we go, and decide together whether further sessions would be supportive.
Sessions are usually 60 or 90 minutes long, with appropriate pauses between sessions, to allow the work to percolate.
Can I have just one session?
If we’ve worked together before, you’re very welcome to book individual sessions as needed.
If we haven’t worked together previously, I generally recommend beginning with a short series rather than a single standalone session, so there’s enough space for depth, context and continuity. We can talk this through if you’re unsure.
Investment & payment
Coaching is charged at an hourly rate, usually payable in full at the start of our work together.
Payment details will be confirmed before we begin.
If paying in instalments would make the work more accessible, please let me know. I’m happy to discuss options where possible.
Changing your mind
You’re free to stop coaching at any point.
If either of us feels the work is no longer the right fit, we’ll simply agree to pause or conclude. There’s no need to justify that decision. Any unused, prepaid sessions will be refunded.
Executive & organisational coaching
I also work with organisations and leaders, offering coaching, talks and facilitated spaces to support people through complexity and change.
Fees and structure for organisational work vary depending on the context and requirements. I’m happy to support procurement or HR processes and provide any information needed.
Professional background
I’m a Professionally Certified Coach (PCC), with a degree in sociology and postgraduate training in coaching. I’m professionally insured and committed to ongoing supervision and professional development.
My work is trauma-informed and draws on somatic practice, Parts Work, ImageWork, and Systemic & Constellation approaches. These practices support compassionate self-enquiry — helping people meet themselves more fully, with clarity, calm and compassion.
Our agreement to work together is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Staying in touch
As a coaching client, you’ll also be added to my email community, where I share reflections, resources, and invitations to events and courses. You can update your preferences or unsubscribe at any time.
